The automatic
ataaya maker
eBrada was designed from the ground up as an automatic ataaya maker. It can be used by anyone, anywhere, to make a complete, authentic, fresh, round of ataaya at the push of a button.
ataaya /a-taa-ya/ noun;
A hot green tea beverage. It is brewed using an alternating boiling and cooling process. Full bodied and strong, it is sweetened and flavored with mint, vanilla, or other flavorings, and served in a small glass with a head of foam.
eBrada Features
eBrada does not make ataaya using a new method, nor does it use any special kind of green tea. It simply automates the same manual process that has been in use for decades, using the same bulk or individually packaged green teas that are available everywhere.
EASY TO USE
Add the green tea leaves into the tea basket and water. Add sugar and condiments into the sugar basket. Then push the start button. Later, when eBrada is done, push the serve button to serve. It's that easy!
MICROCONTROLLER DRIVEN
A microcontroller unit on a custom-designed PCB sits at the heart of the eBrada. It orchestrates all the different internal components to carry out the complete brewing process, and ensures the ataaya is served at drinking temperature.
MANUAL MODE
This mode enables the use of the eBrada buttons to directly control the different brewing steps. This is useful for trying alternate brewing methods or using different teas.
CLEANING MODE
This mode boils water in the pot and runs it through the internal components to clean them. This is useful for when the eBrada has not been used for a while.
FOOD SAFETY
All internal parts that the ataaya comes into contact with are made from FDA food grade materials. The pot and baskets are made of stainless steel.
OPERATIONAL SAFETY
To ensure safe operation of the eBrada, power is routed through a current limiting fuse, the metal pot is grounded, and the heater has an attached temperature limiting thermostat.
